US Passport Photo Requirements (2×2 inch)

The US passport photo standard size is 2×2 inches (51×51mm) with a white background. Head height (from chin to crown) should be between 1 inch and 1-3/8 inches (25-35mm). Since November 2016, glasses are no longer allowed in US passport photos. Zan Pic automatically crops to the 2×2 inch specification and replaces the background with white.

Export — choose output format and quality, then download

Core Tools

AI Background Remover — IS-Net model, WebGPU accelerated
Image Crop & Resize — fixed ratios + AI super-resolution
Photo Filters & Color Grading — 8 presets + live sliders

Privacy by Design

Zan Pic is a 100% client-side application. All image editing, AI inference, and ID photo generation run locally in your browser via ONNX Runtime and WebGPU. We do not collect, store, or upload your images. The AI model downloads once from a CDN and is cached on your device — subsequent uses work fully offline.

FAQ

Q: Are my images uploaded to a server?
A: No. Every image operation runs locally in your browser. Your images never leave your device.

Q: Is Zan Pic really free?
A: Yes. No registration, no watermark, no usage limits.

Q: Does the AI background remover work on mobile?
A: Yes. Modern mobile browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari 17+) support WebGPU. The first use downloads the AI model (~24MB), then it's cached locally.

Q: Which image formats are supported?
A: Upload: PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, GIF. Export: PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF with adjustable quality.

Q: Can I use exported images commercially?
A: Yes. The images you create are entirely yours.

Q: Why is the AI cutout slow on first use?
A: First cutout downloads the AI model (~24MB). After that, it's cached. WebGPU-capable browsers run inference 3-10x faster than WASM fallback.
